4 approved spots in one cell (1 gym, 1 stop, 2 power spots) wiped out after map sync

To the Wayfarer peeps, I need help with 4 stops that got taken off the map all at once on White Ave.These 4 spots was live for a while in a cell that had 1 gym, 1 PokéStop, n 2 Power Spots.

The “Welcome to Singleton Heights” sign was a 6-year-old stop, the original one in this cell. It became a legacy stop after the Singleton Tidy Towns reward sign moved in from a map sync update.

It was live as a legacy stop for about a month n a half before getting the Power Spots added. Then it stayed live for another week n a half. After that, all suddenly got removed.

You can’t see them on the Wayfarer Map or the official Pokémon GO map, but you can still visually see them in the submission screen when submitting new nominations.

This disappearance wouldn’t be from a location removal request, as the community has enforced rules on edits here. We have a page telling folks not to change it, cause it’ll negatively impact the legacy nomination.

The only stop that is aged is the Welcome to Singleton sign. All other nominations inside that S17 cell are less than 6 months old. The only other aged location is the cell straight above it with a 13-year-old nomination.

Strangely, that cell was not touched. How am I able to get these nominations back into game?

If Scoble were to review this area, would they remove all locations inside that S17 cell, or only legacy nominations or ones that don’t meet the criteria?

The locations and their coordinates are:

Singleton Tidy Towns reward sign: -32.554520, 151.160457.

Gowrie Park walkway:
-32.554716, 151.160080.

Koolgara walking fitness trail:
-32.554635, 151.160494.

Welcome to Singleton Heights sign: -32.554813, 151.160495.

Thanks everyone.

That seems a bit odd, but also anyone can report wayspots, not just locals.

The locations are still visible on the Wayfarer map for me by the way. To me, some of the mentioned locations seem a bit misrepresented

How is this a fitness path? It’s a sidewalk with a park sign in the background.

What exactly does this wayspot actually represent? The title, description, and photo don’t seem to match?

This is not the location of the Singleton Tidy Towns sign. The sign is clearly at -32.554837,151.160449 per street view directly in front of the Welcome to Singleton sign.

If it had been appearing as a Pokestop because it was mispinned in an empty L17 S2 cell, that has been corrected.

I find it difficult to understand how this photo was accepted.

I am going to wait for the Wayfarer map to sync before checking into these any more than this.

Sorry for this mistake thanks for fixing it up

The red dotted line is the fitness path connecting the bottom of the park at the highway up with the rest of the park via a public pedestrian walkway this is a good area for a quick run or walk with the bottom having two other official walking paths that connect via a t intersection right at the Singleton welcome sign

as for your our photo that nomination is 13 years old I’ve only been at this location for about 18 months so you can blame the ingress players for that one

I know it don’t make sense it’s a council sign for the town name not a park entrance when I have the chance to access that location I will re-edit the description so they match

Hello @Woodystar588 ,

Thanks for your feedback. We’re constantly making improvements to Pokémon GO and occasionally, you may notice changes to the PokéStops or Gyms in your community. While we are not able to fulfill your request to add back these locations at this time, we recognize the disappointment this may have caused and hope you continue to seek out adventures at other PokéStops and Gyms in your surrounding communities.

Thanks,
