Hi everyone, just looking for some help. I’ve been playing this game since 2016 and I haven’t once cheated or anything like that, my local area has very little pokestops so I have tried submitting anything that would qualify. One I have seen in other areas is trees that hold importance, there was something similar in my area as a tree survived being illegally cut down, so I went ahead and submitted it. I have now been suspended for 30 days because apparently the picture of the tree is malicious.
Welcome to the forum, and I am sorry it is over a suspension. This “malicious” wording usually means that the photo was third party or ai. Did you take the photo yourself? Did you post it anywhere else? Did you use ai editing?
If you would like to discuss what may have triggered the warning with regular members of the forum, it would help to see the photo used. Often a staff member will comment on a post like this and start a DM, if you would rather wait for that.

You can opt to wait for wayfarer staff to DM you privately or share the detail if you want community advice. To advise further from community, we will need full detail on that nomination (title, foto, description, information, loc, etc) .
You’re going to need staff to explain why it was determined to be a malicious image. But i will say that this does not look eligible to me. It’s not punishible to submit things that get rejected. But you do need to know when to give up on an ineligible thing.

I would have understood if they rejected it but I feel like giving me a 30 day suspension is a bit overkill, especially when it doesn’t break any rules. But I’m hope this will get fixed soon.
No I’ve never uploaded this photo to Google maps or anything like it, I took it on my own with my own phone.
As far as I’m aware I haven’t been given a warning for any pokestop submission. I’ve never been met with a pop up warning when I’ve logged into pokemon go or wayfarer.

Apologies, I took a screenshot of the Google street view to use as a comparison to my photo and ended up posting the wrong one. My apologies again.
Unfortunately your suspension is deserved then. I know this might sound like no big deal, copyright infringement can cause serious harm, that’s why it is strictly enforced. You gotta make sure to always take the pictures yourself before submitting in the future.

You have a 30 day suspension because you broke the rules. Use that time wisely.
In wayfarer terms it is important that you use your own photo as you are passing it to wayfarer, to use. Using another source for convenience is not right.
The recommendation is always when appealing a sanction that you are open and honest. It is the time to stop the pretence that it is your picture. By not doing so you only start to dig a deeper hole for yourself. The wayfarer team have access to all the data. And they have clarified the situation that it was streetview and that you had previously had a Wayfarer warning.
Use the suspension time to reflect on this whole scenario through from the wrongful submission to how you have interacted in this topic. It is a hard life lesson to learn but if you reflect and learn from it, then something good has come out of this situation, and although it might not feel like it now, you will be the better for it.
If you decide after the suspension that you do want to do wayfarer again, the community here will be happy to support you to stay on the right track by clarifying any questions you may have.
