A specific building in an apartment complex?

I recently submitted a removal request of a power spot that represents a SPECIFIC building in my apartment complex on the basis that it really doesn’t have any significance at all on its own. This request was rejected.

I submitted the request at the suggestion that it could be removed and replaced with one that represents the entire community rather than just one random building in the complex. It’s even named as such: “(Apartment Complex) at (Town) Building 1810”. I just find this excruciatingly generic, weirdly specific, and uninteresting.

Why do you figure the removal request was denied? I don’t think this spot matches the spirit of the game’s POI’s at all. There’s like 10 identical buildings right next to it.

Hello and welcome,

Power Spots do not follow the same criteria and guidelines as Wayspots, as many have been imported from a 3rd party database, while others are unused Wayspots. I don’t think the Power Spot for an apartment building will be removed if it was an import, as there are apartment buildings in my neighborhood that get Power Spots from time to time.

Regardless of it being a Powerspot or any other type of POI, there’s an adage that “rejection reasons ≠ removal reasons.”

Just because something may have not been acceptable, per se, it still must meet specific reasons for removal - like the location is unsafe, has been removed, or is on single family private residential property.
