Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone familiar with the Pokémon GO gameboard and S2 cells can help me understand what is happening with several accepted Wayspots at Campus Edge Condominiums in Gainesville, Florida.
I have four nearby accepted Wayspots:
Campus Edge Community Pool
29.636417, -82.358303
Status: In Game — currently a PokéStop
Campus Edge Fitness Center
29.636290, -82.358235
Status: Not currently marked In Game
Wayfarer shows it as submitted/added about 1 day ago.
Campus Edge Clubhouse
29.636278, -82.358091
Status: Not currently marked In Game
This has been present in Wayfarer for about 2 weeks.
Campus Edge Community Notice Board
29.636380, -82.358020
Status: Not currently marked In Game
Wayfarer shows it as submitted/added about 1 day ago.
All four are legitimate Wayspots and appear in Wayfarer, but only the Community Pool currently has the “In Game” indicator and appears as a PokéStop.
I understand that acceptance as a Wayspot does not guarantee inclusion in Pokémon GO, and I also understand that recently accepted Wayspots may take up to 48 hours to sync.
Could someone please check the Level 17 S2 cells for these exact coordinates and help me determine:
• Which of these Wayspots share the same L17 cell
• Whether the existing Pool PokéStop is preventing the Fitness Center, Clubhouse, or Notice Board from appearing
• Whether any of the three non-game Wayspots are actually in a separate unoccupied L17 cell
• Whether the Fitness Center and Notice Board should simply be given another sync cycle because they are very recent
• Why the Clubhouse has remained out of Pokémon GO for approximately two weeks
• Whether an accepted Wayspot currently excluded from Pokémon GO could become eligible later if the gameboard changes
I’m not trying to move any Wayspot away from its correct real-world location. I’m just trying to understand how Pokémon GO’s inclusion rules apply to this cluster.
I can provide screenshots from the Wayfarer map showing the exact locations and statuses if helpful.
Thanks for any help!
