Accepted Wayspot Not Appearing in Pokemon Go After 2+ Days

Description of the Issue:
I submitted away spot nomination that was received and accepted but the way spot has still not appeared in pokemon go.

It has been more than 2 days since nomination was accepted and I have checked the location in pokemon go multiple times, but Pokestop/Gym has not appeared.

The location only has one Wayspot within the s2cell Lvl 17, so it should not be blocked by another Wayspot occupying the same cell.

Date first (or most recently) experienced:

August 26, 2026

Device type:

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro MIUI Global 14.0.8 (TKFMIXM)

Game: Pokemon Go Version: 0.425.1

Could you please check why this accepted Wayspot has not sync to Pokemon Go?

The most likely reason is Pokemon Go’s Proximity Rules.

Welcome to the forum.

This Wayspot is not eligible to be a pokestop or gym because it shares an L17 S2 cell - see the red outline on this screen snip - with an existing pokestop.

What should I do to appear in the game?

There is nothing you can do. This already appears to have been submitted away from where I would have pinned it, and any move into an empty cell would be abuse. You can clearly see where the entrance actually is on satellite view.

It does have the potential to be added to the pool of Power Spots since that pink circle around the pin is not touching a Pokestop or gym, but we don’t exactly know how specific Wayspots are chosen to go live for those.
