Hi Wayfarer Support Team,
I have multiple accepted nominations that were approved weeks ago. None of them have appeared on the map/game board, and I have verified that there are no immediate S2 cell or distance conflicts with existing game locations in the area.
Could you please check if these accepted wayspots are stuck in a sync queue or require manual sync to the database?

These locations mean a lot to our local community, and a great deal of thought and heart went into nominating them to showcase the unique character of our area. We’d be so grateful if you could look into this so players can finally enjoy and appreciate these special spots on the map.
Thank you so much for your time, hard work, and support!
Hello and Welcome,
These are not showing on the map at all (the data is over 3 days old at the moment) so this does suggest that they have been removed.
Just for confirmation…
Did you take the images yourself?
Are the images available on any other website?
Are any located on the wall of a “Single Family Private Residence Property” (SFPRP)?
Good Luck
Hi, I have been monitoring and checking every day since I received the acceptance email, but they just haven’t shown up, so I don’t think they were removed either.
To answer your questions:
- Yes, I took all the images myself.
- The images are not available on any other website.
- The murals are located along the Zamboanga West Coastal Road (Calarian Highway) on a public wall, so they are not on any Single Family Private Residence Property (SFPRP).
I can provide some links so you can verify two out of the four locations in Google street view:
The two other murals (the octopus and the boy diver) are newly painted, so they are not recorded on Google Street View yet since our local street view has not been updated for over a year. However, you can find them in this Facebook post where the organization that commissioned the local artists documented the project: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B48qPBNtj/
I would also like to add that before these specific nominations, all my other nominations that were accepted naturally showed up on the Wayfarer maps. Additionally, all other nominations submitted and accepted after these four mentioned murals have also appeared without issue.
Thanks for taking your time to help me with this.
Hello,
Those are great murals
Unfortunately I think the issue will be that there is no safe place to stand at the mural itself. You need to be able to stand at it, so the fact that there is a pedestrian area on the other side of the road doesnt matter.
Someone may have seen a few in review and reported them at that point as not safe.
I completely understand where you’re coming from regarding the Sarimanok and Aquatic Life murals. While it is technically possible to walk up to them, access isn’t very convenient, so I can see why reviewers might express safety concerns there.
However, for the other two murals, there is actually a proper sidewalk running directly in front of them where pedestrians can safely stand right at the wall. Because of that direct sidewalk access, pedestrian safety shouldn’t be an issue for those two nominations. I appreciate you taking a look!
Hi
Could you clarify which ones you think might be ok and provide links or GPS coordinates.
It’s the Octopus and the Diving Boy murals:**
Name:** Coral Octopus Marine Biodiversity Mural
- Coordinates / GPS: (6.920889, 122.044589)
- Date Accepted: Aug 12, 2026

These are documented in this particular facebook post by the group who commissioned the murals https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B48qPBNtj/
I agree with the safe access, the wall may however be part of schoolproperty.
The mural is on the other side of the school. it’s the wall to the south of the highway.
it’s not on the wall where the school is. It’s actually the wall on the other side of the school (south part of the road) where there are murals in the current street view which are images from google streetview dated August 2025. the Murals i nominated are actually new ones painted over the ones we see in the street view.
I found the entrance to the facility along this perimeter wall, and it says “Western Mindanao Command” at the entrance. It seems these murals might be painted on the wall of a military facility. Including the Wayspot you nominated, it looks like four of them are currently set to hidden/disabled.
Thank you so much, @CrownFeather (and everyone else!), for pointing that out and providing the context!
I wasn’t aware that perimeter walls of military installations fell under the military base rejection criteria, especially since the mural faces the public sidewalk. Now that you’ve explained it, it completely makes sense why those Wayspots were hidden/disabled by Niantic.
I really appreciate you taking the time to look into the location and help clarify the rules for me!
You’re very welcome! Glad I could help clear things up.
Also, just a quick clarification—not everything related to military facilities is automatically rejected. In this case, it’s likely that the facility administrator requested Niantic not to use the location in-game.
There are actually Wayspots not only on the perimeter wall but also inside the military base, though all of them are hidden on the Wayfarer map and can only be seen on the nomination map.
