THE ONLY FEEDBACK I GOT WAS THAT I DIDN’T MEET WAYSPOT CRITERIA. NO DETAILS.

Title: " Big electrical box on the south end of Schooner Dr"
Desc: “Beautiful view of lake and mountains from here. Great neighborhood; safe walking paths; a lot of people go on walks around here. This electric box is a notable landmark; unique to this area; it provides electricity to surrounding buildings.”
Supplemental Info: “(Second photo is from behind the Box; facing the lake). Not a lot of Wayspots near here; thanks for reviewing. There is plenty of room around here, including the open field across the street, for large gatherings. Great as a path milestone for Routes, etc. Short walk from Pelican Bay Marina. You can walk across the open field nearby; or down the nearby Marina to get to the lakefront. The view is breathtaking here! This electrical box is just inside the sidewalk for convenient pedestrian access. There’s likewise easy pedestrian sidewalk access all around. People hang out at this end of Schooner where it turns up to Redwood; so this would be a natural place for semi-large social gatherings/neighborhood BBQ’s, etc. For holidays, lots of people gather to watch fireworks over the lake from here.”
If you feel comfortable please share the location, as it is helpful (i.e. hidden duplicates), but you can mask it if you wish.
My description discusses the socializing, exercising, and exploring that happen around the vicinity. The electronic box is an obvious, permanent landmark in the vicinity.
I’m still baffled because most Waystops I see are just that - landmarks to represent the exercise, socializing, and exploration present in that area. The Waystop objects don’t encourage those activities - they’re just a visual landmark. Yes, some Waystops are more special/enticing in and of themselves as you mentioned; but many if not most are just like my submission.
Even the oldest wayspots I have seen would not be so far away from the current criteria.
If the criteria was that you could Socialise, Exercise or Explore I could do that on the pavement (side walk) outside my house. Not a wayspot. I could do all three at the lamp post at the street corner. It’s not a wayspot.
If you find any wayspot that is so far away from the criteria then they should be reported for removal.
Could you provide some e examples of what you are referring to?
Its will help explain the issue, as they could have been wrongly accepted.
As has been said your focus needs to be not on other locations but this utility box. It is designed to be a piece of infrastructure so does not meet eligibility criteria.
You have had answers to your initial Question as to how this doesn’t meet criteria.
If you wish to move forward and develop your wayfarer skills we are happy to support you, but as a first step you need to accept that this submission is not suitable.
If you want to submit a viewpoint which seems to be part of the description, the electrical box detracts from that - these boxes are ugly. Find a bench or other distinct gathering area and take a really pretty picture of that place with the view, and submit the viewpoint there. Then it becomes a good place to explore.
Let me specifically address your supporting section on this one:
Not having a lot of Wayspots has nothing to do with criteria. Plenty of room, especially across the street, does not mean it is a good Wayspot. Being a good connection for a Pokemon Go route has nothing to do with criteria. Being a short walk away from something else has nothing to do with criteria. I have trouble believing that people hang out and have social gatherings at an electrical box, so you must be referencing the wider area again.
