An actual company

Board safe is. Company.
PokéStop being located here is a real, verifiable part of the location
not something we created or added ourselves. You can independently check the company’s official information and verify the PokéStop directly in Pokémon GO. Ive been trying to make sure everything hits criteria so idk why it keeps getting denied.

Mod edit: Removed PII.

Welcome. Are you trying to appeal for removed wayspot? Scopely will need more detail from you. You can provide evidence that the wayspot is still there. simply saying the wayspot is still there is not enough . You should provide all the information instead of asking other to search because other people may not seeing from the same link as yours

If you are trying to submit wayspot, you can share more detail on what you submit so that other can advise if its possible to improve the nomination or not

Welcome to the forum.

“Generic business” is a rejection reason, so businesses are very difficult to get accepted. You have to convince that it meets any of the eligibility requirements of a great place to exercise, explore, or be social.

Here is a link to criteria:

As @TjoeMi said, we could help more if you showed us screenshots from the rejected nomination from your contributions page at https://wayfarer.scopely.com/new/nominations.

Oh I just saw the appeal-removed-poi tag.

If this is a request for reinstatement, then you should know that it is possible that the property owner requested the Pokestop be removed. In that case, staff will not restore it.

If it was removed for other reasons, you will need to guess what those reasons may have been to present evidence that it should be reinstated. You should give the name of the Wayspot or as close as you remember it, and the location. You should offer proof that it still exists, and meets criteria.

If you give those details, this topic can be moved to Wayspot Appeals for consideration by staff.

No im saying it keeps getting denied when it’s totally a valid wayspot.

If you want advice, you need to post details.

If you don’t want advice but just want to vent, then you don’t need to post details.

Oh is it this company?

I don’t see how this would meet any of the eligibility requirements.

The docks they install other places might.

I couldn’t be more clear if I had a crystal ball on some real shh

If you are able, step back and look at the details you have provided for people to comment on

- You have a wayspot which has either been removed or not accepted
- It is for a company called Board Safe
- You believe it is completely eligible

This is not sufficient for anyone apart from you to know what your submission was.

In order to be accepted, a wayspot has to not fail any of the rejection criteria

- it has to be safely accessible to pedestrians
- it can’t be on school grounds, single-family private residential property, farmland
- it has to exist at the location given
- it has to have a reasonably accurate title and description
- the photo cannot contain licence plates, identifiable people, unnecessary animals
- it cannot represent something that already has a wayspot
- the photo must be one that you took and have not posted elsewhere
- it has to be reasonably distinct, not just a random location

It also has to meet one of the key criteria

- Exploration
- Exercise
- Social

Something can meet the key criteria but be rejected because it fails one of the rejection tests.

Something can pass all the rejection reasons but still not be eligible because it simply isn’t meeting criteria.

How is it not??? It’s a public company you can drive to they make bridges and stuff there’s a bridge just sitting there chillin an that alone could be a spot :round_pushpin:

It’s a business. Being a business does not automatically make something worth exploring.

Normally a display at a company would not make a great wayspot, since those can change. But sometimes they work. Want to show us screenshots? It could be something like this.

If this is the correct location then please explain how this meets the the criteria, in that it encourages Exercise or Socialise or Explore and that it it does not meet the Rejection reason of “Generic Business”

Ooooh license plates might’ve been the problem thanks for that

License plates can certainly be a problem, but the larger problem is that it doesn’t sound like it’s eligible, as all of the people above have pointed out.

You see the whole open field to the right? Perfect space to exercise. You can easily run around play a game of football and oh looky here there’s a company to explore too while I’m exercising and in fact you can enter that space not only through the front but the bottom and the top side too. Make it make sense. I’m out in an open field there’s a way spot possibility next to it. Why not. Theres like two bridges here you can make a spot they also got a bear statue just like you pointed out in the front of the entrance.

Something beside something does not make that first thing meet criteria.

I do see a big empty field, which appears to be just that: nothing. Just because you can do something there does not make it a great place designed for doing that something. This looks like a property that just hasn’t been developed yet. If it does become part of the soccer field, you can submit the fields then.

Where is the bear? I can’t see one in either street view.

And it looks like there is heavy machinery in operation here, which would bring pedestrian safety into question.

Alright fine I tried hard af you guys got it

We would love to be able to help you. You have not shown us screenshots of your attempted nominations for us to discuss how to improve them. Sometimes we just can’t help if we don’t see anything eligible.

I looked around that area to see if I could find anything else that looked like it would be an easy nomination for you. It seems someone has done a really good job submitting there. Just in case, let me link this topic with lots of ideas. It was aimed at rural submitters, but could help anyone.
