Additional Information:
I am appealing the removal of the Wayspot “Porest Playground.”
The physical playground is still present at the exact same location. It has not been removed or relocated and is still an actual playground used by residents.
The location is inside an apartment complex in Changneung-dong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, near Starfield Goyang, South Korea.
I have attached recent photographs showing that the playground still physically exists.
I am not the original Wayspot submitter, but I would appreciate it if Niantic could review why this Wayspot/Gym was removed and restore it if it was removed in error.

Thank you for reviewing this appeal.
Thanks for the appeal, @applewy7! We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.
Hello Wayfarer Team,
I am following up on my previous appeal regarding the “Porest Playground” Wayspot.
In my original appeal submitted on August 8, I provided the Wayspot title, location, and supporting screenshots/photos. I also explained that I did not nominate or create this Wayspot, so I did not receive the original rejection or removal email.
I have now received your response stating that you have reviewed the appeal again but have decided to maintain the retirement of this Wayspot.
I understand that the decision has been reviewed. However, I would appreciate it if you could clarify the specific reason why this Wayspot was retired and which Wayfarer policy or eligibility requirement it was found to violate.
The playground is a real, permanent playground at the stated location, and the photographs submitted with my original appeal show that the physical playground still exists.

Since I was not the original submitter, I do not know what issue led to the Wayspot being removed. I would therefore appreciate a specific explanation of the reason for the retirement rather than simply confirmation that the previous decision remains unchanged.
If there is a particular eligibility issue, location issue, duplication issue, or other policy concern associated with this Wayspot, please let me know so that I can understand the decision.
Thank you for taking the time to review my request.
They do not tell the original submitter this information either. If a wayspot that you submit is removed, you don’t get informed about it, and the status of your nomination in your contributions tab will not change.
They don’t alert the original submitter either. This does seem very strange though.
Was this originally in PG as a gym or a normal pokestop?
Hello,
I am writing to respectfully appeal the removal of the “Forest Playground” Wayspot and request that it be reviewed again.
The Forest Playground is a real, permanent playground located in a public recreational area. It is a legitimate physical location that exists independently of the Wayspot submission and is intended for public use. It provides a meaningful point of interest for people visiting and enjoying the surrounding area.
I understand that the specific reason for the removal may not be disclosed. However, I would greatly appreciate a fresh review of the Wayspot based on the actual location and its eligibility under the current Wayspot criteria.
In particular:
The playground is a permanent physical feature, not a temporary installation.
It is located in a public recreational environment.
It is a genuine point of interest that encourages exploration, recreation, and social activity.
The Wayspot accurately represents a real feature at the submitted location.
There is no intention to misrepresent the location or create a duplicate or fabricated point of interest.
If there is a specific eligibility concern with the current submission, I would appreciate it if the reviewing team could reconsider the Wayspot in light of the actual physical location and available evidence.
I respectfully request that the “Forest Playground” Wayspot be restored if it meets the current eligibility requirements.
Thank you for taking the time to review this appeal. I appreciate your consideration and hope the Wayspot can be reinstated following a fresh evaluation.
The playground cannot be seen on Google Maps satellite imagery because it is hidden in the shadow of high-rise apartment buildings. However, when looking at the satellite imagery on two Korean online maps, a space resembling a playground is indeed visible, though it is also in shadow and difficult to see clearly. In addition, the original Wayspot location appears to be misaligned.
You initially shared a few photos, but they are insufficient to provide conclusive proof that playground equipment exists at that location, because there are many surrounding buildings with similar appearances. There is an application called Map GPS Camera. Using it adds a watermark with the location, latitude, and longitude at the bottom of the image. Recording a video or taking multiple pictures with this app might help prove it. However, because there are high-rise buildings all around, significant errors may occur in GPS positioning. It might be helpful if you could find a location to shoot from—such as an upper floor or rooftop communal area of a building less prone to interference—where you can look down on the area. Please make sure to shoot only from accessible common areas.
In addition, another concern is that there appears to be an elementary school to the west of that location. It may also be necessary to prove the boundary between the plaza and the elementary school, such as by showing a dividing fence.
Note: The target location conflicts with the following Wayspot, so it cannot be restored to its original state. However, it may still be adopted into the game in a different form.

Since most removals will be for wayspots that should never have existed, a proportion of these will be abusive submissions. It would be unwise to alert abusive players that their submissions have been removed, as this increases the chance of an absuive resubmission.
