Hello, i recieved a policy violation warning regarding my wayfarer submission ‘Teretana na otvorenom / Outdoor Fitness Park’ i would like to clarify that this nomination is 100% real, physical and not offending anyone, any person or it contains any kind of Abuse.. if it does i would like to know what is abussive in my photos.
I also appealed on forums form, and in the wayfarer contributions menu too, to be honest, i am legit scared for my account from now one, and dont think i am going to submit any wayspots because i think this is too harash for a warning or possible ban in future. Can anyone tell me how can i get in touch with a human, so i can confirm that Place actually exists and its not abusing anything, i just dont get why it couldnt get rejected and that’s it, insted i got warning and possible ban. Here are some pictures.
You can write in your own language, as there is a facility for translating any post into the reader’s preferred language
The “Abuse” rejection narrative can be flagged for a nomination for any of the following reasons (roughly in order of how often they occur):
* The photo is not yours (e.g., taken from streetview, found on another website)
* The wayspot location pin is misplaced
* The wayspot is deliberately misrepresented (e..g., on school property but pretending it isn’t) * The nomination is believed to be fake
* Another nomination was flagged and all of yours have been flagged as a consequence
* The text itself is abusive
* The nomination is controversial and likely to be offensive (e.g., a mural of terrorists)
* (there may be others)
You can tell which of these is the issue for this submission, but don’t worry about being accused of being discriminatory, as this isn’t what this narrative is saying. This narrative is extremely unhelpful and badly worded, as 99% of the time, there are no insults, ridicule or harassment.
I’ve seen your reddit post and people have clearly told you it was misplaced. Your best chance is to be totally open about it, admit the mistake and explain why it wasn’t intentional.
Hey thanks, i will try to explain everything as you marked possible reasons.
*Photo is 100% mine i have several different photos i can also show details that are linked with my phone and also couple of live photos.
*About the pin i took the photos and than i went home to my pc and placed the pin its not maybe 100% accurate but the whole ‘park/gym’ is pretty big it covers almost entire woods
*I added more photos that show exact date and even shows ‘live’ marker that means i took them in that moment
no nominations have been flagged before
*No text is abussive i made title in Serbian and in English just so people who are there can understand in both languages
i dont think couple of outdoor gym equipment can be offensive
The only one i can think from all of the above reasons could be the exact pin location, because when looking at google maps i pinned building and not the woods behind it. But still its a mistake made by me and not on puropse. still dont think its that offensive and again it specifically said ‘Fake Submission’ without any chance for me to prove that location is 100% real and not fake.
Im just hoping i can resolve this and at least get explanation why it got warned. dont think i will submit any wayspots from now on just to be safe. regardless of the decision they make
Hey i did write them that one of the forum members pointed out that the location isn’t perfectly accurate. And that i think its only one thing i could think of for possible warning, but still i feel its kinda too harash.
I would say the fact you pinned to a building when it was in the woods is the big red flag.
This could look to a lot of reviewers that it could have been anywhere in those woods (or even totally different woods) and you had placed it to get a Home wayspot.
I believe the email received is what is usually termed as “Educational Email” (please correct me if I am wrong) which is not part of the Abuse Ladder. It is only sent to make you stop and think what you may have done wrong which it seems to have succeeded in doing.
All wayspots are meant to represent the real world and mis-placed wayspots do not accomplish this.
Since you have already shared the details in public on your own volition, let me put things in the correct perspective.
We issued this warning because our review confirmed that the nominated object does not exist at the submitted location in the real world, which is classified as abuse under Wayfarer policies.
This warning was issued by a human after a thorough manual review in line with our policies.
After reviewing the appeal, we stand by our decision. We strongly encourage you to review our acceptance criteria and location accuracy guidelines before making future submissions.
