Additional Information (if any): Removed recently as-well as nearby footpath signs, expecting all nearby stops to be removed as they seem to have been mass reported, the sign is still there aswell as the others. Most active Gym in the area often with 10+ people raiding, big loss to the community. Aswell as a start of a lot of routes around the area.
I have seen reports that there have been reports of Footpaths in the area that do not meet criteria.
Using UK terminology a “Footpath” in itself does not meet criteria. It usually needs to be a “Public Right of Way” not just a shortcut from 1 road to another which this seems to be.
If you disagree then you need to prove that it does meet criteria and it doesn’t do exactly the same job as the path at the front of my house. The usual way is using https://www.rowmaps.com where the map below comes from.
Only the solid lines are Public Rights of Way, each is a set route with a number. Dashed lines are simply footpaths, no set route or number.
Then there is acceptability criteria. Going on the path/trail should mean you are getting exercise and going somewhere interesting. A short path between roads in a housing estate is not going to meet that bar. If it starts in an estate and continues into open countryside then that might be ok. In other words just because it’s a footpath sign it is not a straight accept.
The places you gave co ordinates for shouldn’t have been accepted.
