I have a question regarding bug hotels, while reviewing them, it is usually easy to confirm that there is no reason to reject them (the 4 rejection criteria). However I’m having a hard time to tick one of the boxes in the 3 acceptance criteria. I usually have 3 “no’s” in this part. Does this mean that the effect is that I am not accepting these nominations?
I don’t mind if that is the conclusion, just curious.
I really don’t know if they should be rejected, though as they appear more often, I may consider the non-distinct button.
For now, I see them occasionally in real life, but they are mass produced. So it would probably not take long before you see them everywhere.
For now, I still consider them distinct and permanent.
But is it something to explore, exercise, or socialise, no not really (at least to me).
I am seeing more and more of the standard mass produced ones, ones that are really sold for you to have in your garden.
Most of them look brand new with a nail just about holding them to a tree that is ideally suited to be a couch stop / gym for several houses.
These I Reject as Not Distinct, would report as Abuse but no evidence.
The larger, normally hand made ones found in parks etc, if it looks official I would Accept as “Explore” as in “Exploring Nature”.
Usually I don’t have an issue in getting them accepted.
They look much more robust that the ones I have been getting to review.
The ones such as those below have even had reports that they could actually be bad for the bugs
They look like the ones they give out to every person for free when you buy a house in a new estate here
