Can a showcase pokestop become a gym?

Hi trainers, im thinking of trying to get a gym in a zone wheres only 1 pokestop, which is a showcase. If i get another wayspot added, it automatically becomes in a gym, or can the showcase stop dissapear and become in gym? If thats the case, will another stop of the zone go as a new showcase stop? Or we will get -1 showcases in the zone? I know its a bit tricky but I hope u can help me.

Showcases can not become a Gym.

If only 1 stop in the L14 cell then the new 1 will become a Gym.
