Street signs are basic utility items. They are not a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social - those are the eligibility requirements, and every wayspot must meet one of those.
When you see these accepted and appear within the game, they are either:
- accepted by accident
- added by niantic on purpose in low-density areas
But they aren’t eligible and don’t qualify normally to be a wayspot and should be rejected during voting.
That makes sense, the only places I’ve seen them added are small towns/villages with a small if existing player base. Thanks to the both of you for confirming that! )
