Hey guys,
I was wondering if this can be a PokéStop?
I think it has some potential as a Wayspot. You’d have to ensure you submit it as the actual art, rather than the business it is attached to, as you don’t want to misrepresent it.
Hello and welcome @LazyCupid
That looks fab to me and something that is eligible to be nominated.
But…..
You could hear that but coming ![]()
To be clear you will be nominating a wayspot first - the wording about nominating in game is all pokestop, but actually you submit a wayspot.
If your eligible nomination is voted on as acceptable it gets to be an approved wayspot.
There is then a selection process that Pokemon Go makes to decide whether it will use it in game.
You need to read and understand this

But do ask further questions.
PS
It’s not always clear where it’s best to post on this forum so I am moving this to nomination support ![]()
I see, thank you for your insight on this.
@elijustrying Hello and thank you.
That ‘But’ made me gulp very slowly.. ![]()
Wording is very important I believe becasue i’ve come across people saying this all over to have a good chance of getting accepted provided it meets the criteria as a wayspot.
I appreciate the information on this.
The “but” for this one is because you can legitimately place the pin anywhere along that lighting strip, but once it is accepted (which I think it should be), it wouldn’t be possible to move it to a different point on the lighting strip.
There are inclusion rules for Pokemon Go, so where you place it might affect whether it appears in Pokemon Go as a pokestop, as a powerspot or not at all.
This is where knowing the cell boundaries and inclusion rules is useful, since you can choose the location so it appears in Pokemon Go without this being any sort of abuse.
If you haven’t had much experience then happy to help what sort of thing to say.
I expect Heathrow has a lot already.
It is clearly art google might find if it is a specific artist.
If you want assistance with the cell boundaries, posting the exact location (of the centre of the lighting strip) would help. (The information we have about what is already in the game is 3+ months out of date, but the cell boundaries are fixed.)
To stand the best chance of success, the supporting photo must show the POI in as much context as possible so that the location can clearly and easily be confirmed via streetview/satellite/etc. (Supporting photos that don’t show the POI are always a negative.)
