Clarification on Neighborhood Signs

Pleading once again for a clarification on neighborhood signs. People are starting to make up their own clarifications. Seen in supporting information:

They are not “gathering” spots. I guess “milestone” is saying they encourage exercise, which they do not.

The appeals team doesn’t seem to have a standard way to deal with these either. Some are accepted and some rejected with no discernable difference.

I don’t care how the ruling goes, I just want to accept what the Scopely Explore team wants in game and reject what they don’t. And be able to point people trying to do a good job to the correct way to deal with these.

When I see statements like this in supporting information that is comes off as authoritative when clearly it isn’t, I flag it as influencing reviewers and include a note with for the staff (in the open text from the other abuse area).

And for those who are not in the US, all these signs indicate is how much the homes cost. They are put up by the builders to sell real estate.

Are we talking about the stone signs with the names of the subdivision on them? Those to me just feel like an excuse for couch spots. There are a few that are intricate artwork that I can see but the generic ones feel mass produced. Didn’t know they included cost of homes though.

Not that they specifically lay out the cost of homes, but moreso that they are identifying an artificially more ‘luxury’ neighborhood by having a fancy frontage sign. Those homes tend to be more expensive partially because of this facade. Makes me think of the way North Korea will put expensive-looking (empty) homes on the border to South Korea to make it look more luxurious than it (most likely) actually is.
On the flipside though, these signs ARE also made to be an identifying landmark for drivers, tenants, and homeowners, especially if they are more artistically designed. I usually only accept them based on their artistic value, because even if a sign is generic, a colorful artistic sign goes against the ‘modern’ designs that have grays and depressing color schemes, so for me some of them can be acceptable under exploration (and ONLY exploration)
