Couple general questions

First, is it just in my head or does it take way longer for title and description edits to be reviewed than wayspot nominations?

Also, what does this status of under review (niantic logo) mean? Haven’t seen that before.

I can’t speak to edits taking longer because I haven’t submitted any in a long time.

The “Under Review” message means the nomination is being reviewed in house rather than by the community. They take some for in house review as standard practice. If they decide your nomination, the email will say “our team” instead of “the community.” But occasionally these go back into community review.

Ah, In-house review, cool and thank you!
I only submitted a couple of title and description edits because the inaccuracy was just irking me beyond belief. St. Anne’s Catholic Church has been Stances Catholic Church, apparently since the very beginning, for instance.

For what it’s worth, I’ve done quite a few edits recently, and they’ve taken about the same amount of time as nominations do.

My title/description/location edits take longer than nominations. One theory could be that, even though they are easy, some just skip doing edits while reviewing. Another issue could be that edit reviews don’t count towards your agreement rate, just nominations. I think people should be less worried about the agreement rate, as you can have a Great review rating and an agreement rate below 60%, which is currently my situation.

I have a location edit still in voting from Aug 8th, and I submitted 2 nominations on that day, and both of the nominations have been processed. I submitted nominations and edits on Sept 16th, and only the photo edits have been processed, and 2 of the 4 nominations have been processed; all other edits are in voting. For me, it’s not unusally for edits to be resolved within 2-3 months, whereas niomination may take 1-2 weeks without upgrades.

in the end, it really depends on your area and how many reviewers are reviewing edits and how many aren’t.

Location edits can be very difficult to review. All you often have to go on is two (or more) dots in a bunch of trees or cars. I’ll poke around if there’s a streetview but often I can see far enough to determine. As a result I skip. I’m sure others do the same. Other reviewers may guess and that is unlikely to provide a consensus so the edit stays in voting.

On title and descriptions spelling or capitalization are easy but often the title and picture don’t match (likely because someone is in the middle of trying to repurpose). If I have the time to research I will but if I don’t it’s a skip.
