Dear Pokémon GO Support Team,
We are Pokémon GO players from Darjeeling, West Bengal, and we are extremely frustrated with the lack of PokéStops and Gyms in our area.
Darjeeling is a hill station. Travelling from one Gym to another isn’t as simple as it is in a flat city — we have steep roads, one-ways and significant travel time. By the time we reach a Gym, the Raid may already be over or the Boss may have changed.
During this weekend’s finale, we were excited to participate as newer players, but most accessible Gyms repeatedly had the same Pokémon, while other raids were too far away to reach in time. We’ve attached screenshots showing the Raid situation we experienced.
We’ve also tried nominating PokéStops, but our nominations are repeatedly rejected, despite there being plenty of legitimate hotels, homestays, lodges and other locations in hill stations like Gangtok that have Wayspots.
Please review the PokéStop/Gym density in Darjeeling and reconsider how nominations from hill stations are evaluated.
We love the game and simply want a fair opportunity to play it.

This is the Wayfarer forum so not specifically for Pokémon GO, but from the looks of it you already contacted that team and copied the message in to here?

Pokémon GO will have game inclusion rules to decide what Wayspots become PokéStops/Gyms. If you share the location, people will be able to see if there is anything else you can nominate which is eligible.

Hi, sorry for your experience.

Unfortunately, what is eligible through wayfarer and what not is not clear to understand for Indian Players as Niantic and Scopley have imported a large amount of POIs from other databases to fill areas, regardless of any Wayfarer Criteria.

This means, what you see in the game, is not always what actually is allowed as a user submission. All the examples you listed are usually objects not fit for the Wayfarer criteria (some might be still possible but it depends on the case, but standard would be to be ineligible).

You can check out the Wayfarer Criteria websites to find out what you can actually submit and get accepted:

Welcome to the forum

If you are talking about this area - tara mandir (27.027267,88.256074), then almost every wayspot along this road is an Import that Scopely Explore have deliberately added to improve gameplay chances.

This means that very few people have submitted wayspots, so the solution to get more gyms is for players to find and submit eligible wayspots.

I suspect this is the situation for a lot of Darjeeling.
