I was asked by a beginner if I would be accepted if I nominated the piano class. Do you evaluate general cultural classes with Social Criteria? Or do you evaluate it with other Criteria? ( As a premise, it does not fall under the Rejection Criteria and is a candidate for all ages)
Or do you think you can evaluate other similar cultural classroom candidates as Social Criteria?
Example:
SOROBAN (Abacus) Classroom (The Japanese evolution version of the analog calculator, which is said to have been used since the early civilization of Mesopotamia, is the Abacus. About SOROBAN (Abacus) → SOROBAN|日本珠算連盟)
Kimono dressing class
Painting class
Cooking class
Foreign language class
Flower Arrangement Class
Etc.
Meeting only one eligibility criteria is required but one POI may fall into multiple. I think the collaborative aspects match the socialization criteria while learning for leisure matches exploration. How those concepts apply vary per teaching method, topic, etc.
That said, the location (is it on the allowed locations?) and audience (is it only for underage children?) of these are questioned most of the time.
I think you will experience a very difficult time in getting a cultural class to be approved as a wayspot as it is not a tangible physical object. You need to be able to demonstrate that such a cultural class meets at least one of the qualifying criteria; a great place for exploration or exercise or to be social. I would argue that the primary purpose of a cultural class is to learn and that it is not a great place to explore or socialise or exercise. Cultural classes are limited to their course term and are therefore not permanent and are temporary. You may have better luck nominating the venue where the cultural class is conducted.
Learning is often linked to exploring - that’s why libraries are considered good waypoints too
I think a building hosting cultural classes would make a good waypoint.
