I would like to request a review of my nomination for “Doc Yacht” in La Spezia, Liguria.
This place is not just a business, but an important reference point for the local community and for visitors. La Spezia has a strong maritime tradition, and Doc Yacht contributes to it by supporting nautical tourism, culture of the sea, and providing a recognizable landmark for those exploring the area.
The location is safe, easily accessible, and promotes exploration of the city and its waterfront. It encourages social interaction and outdoor activities, which aligns with Wayfarer’s mission to highlight places that inspire exploration and community gathering.
You cannot appeal rejected nominations in the forums, as that is what the appeal option is for. You get 2 appeals every 15 days, so if you do not see the appeal button, it’s because you’ve used both of them and have to wait 15 days for the 1st one to be given back.
I don’t see how a business that takes care of yachts to be a great place to be social/exercise/explore, which all nominations must meet at least one of. It’s a pretty generic business, as it helps yacht owners maintain their yachts, and this would be similar to a car repair shop. There most likely are other companies that provide the same services in this area, making it more indistinct than you first thought. As said above there isn’t a route to ask for an overturn of a community rejection here. I also wouldn’t necessarily appeal this one as so far it isn’t clear that this is eligible, and I would not suggest using the picture of a TV screen as your main photo - this doesn’t help make a point about this being a permanent object.
If the text you are sharing is of your actual nomination be aware that you can nominate in Italian if you’re more comfortable. As of right now it comes off as very generic and doesn’t help convince reviewers how this business actually meets any of the criteria. The goal of nomination text is not to “jazz things up” by using every possible buzzword, but rather about communicating truthful things (ideally rooted in evidence) about how the nomination meets criteria - especially important in the case of a business. If you want to present it as a “reference point” you may also want to explain how and why it is one.
