This is from my local councils heritage page. I think this building would make a good poi as it is unique and historic but it is a residential building (divided into two flats). I see lots of people refer to the private residence as ‘single family’. Does this mean that cause it’s split into two houses it’s eligible? I would assume not but want to double check as I think it’s really unique
If it’s more than one flat or apartment, it may be OK, but you’ll need to make that very clear during your nomination.
I recently had some decorative stonework approved at an old house that is now subdivided into 4 flats.
If the building is now 2 flats then it isn’t a single family private residence anymore
Just because it’s flats doesn’t make it eligible.
You’ll need to explain why it’s a place to explore for its historical worth. A historical marker or plaque would make it much more likely to pass.
It’s in the U.K. so the fact it is a listed building is what backs up its significance. We don’t do the sort of historical marker you are referring to. There is enough information on the listing to craft a good description.
I think the question was more about whether the cool thing that would be exploration worthy was ineligible due to being residential or not, hence why being flats was important. I wasnt trying to answer about whether it was going to be accepted, more whether it was specifcially ineligible due to prp rules
