Follow-up on Support Ticket #43086645 – Inquiry regarding bulk POI submission

Hi Niantic Support Team / Wayfarer Team,

​I submitted a request via the Help Chat regarding a list of verified real-world points of interest (POIs) in my area (Ticket #43086645).

​Unfortunately, the support chat is no longer responding or updating on my end. I would like to kindly ask for an update on this ticket or clarification on whether it is possible for Niantic to review a collected list/PDF of heritage/interest points for inclusion in the Wayfarer database, or if every single location must strictly be nominated individually via the in-game process.

I cannot help with the exact question, but I do want to point out that there is the possibility to use web submit: Niantic Wayfarer which is a lot easier, especially if you want to submit a lot!

If you are aware already then consider this just a reminder :slight_smile:

Looking at the chat/ticket, I can see the team confirmed your report was received and is being reviewed. Because that review is still in progress, there haven’t been any new updates posted there yet.

Everyone else has to submit wayspots individually. I think it highly unlikely you could use a database/PDF/list of interesting things and get Scopely Explore to do the work for you (composing a title, taking photographs, choosing a location, writing a description, writing supporting text).

​Dass die Fotos selbst gemacht sein müssen, ist mir natürlich klar – mir ging es rein um die vorgearbeiteten Texte/Daten.

​Ich warte nun einfach entspannt ab, was @ScopelyExpAtlas bezüglich meines Tickets herausfindet, und melde mich dann gegebenenfalls wieder.

I am stunned that the response from staff was that they are looking into the ticket still, and not that they don’t process bulk poi submissions. I have set this topic to “watching.”
