When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible: Wayspot Title: Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home Location (lat/lon): 40.166512,-92.170568 City: Edina, MO Country: USA Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): [image] Additional Information (if any): [image]

Thanks for the appeal, @cyndiepooh , we looked at this location again and stand by our decision not to retire this Wayspot.

Can you please explain why? I hate wasting my time and yours reporting things. This is clearly something that should have been rejected per the review guidelines.

It’s a funeral home, which is an explicit example of “not eligible due to sensitive location”.

Thank you for the explanation. I don’t understand why it doesn’t, but will add this to my list of clarifications. If you published that removal criteria, it would save a lot of wasted time and effort.

I honestly thought that “blatantly not eligible” was a reason for removal. This is why generic cycle markers get removed and why the bike route markers in the Netherlands (etc) get removed. Can you explain why those get removed for not being eligible but this doesn’t despite not being eligible?

Oh and I see I got a disagreement on the fountain, too. [image]

I wondered why you hadn’t posted about that, since it should be equally ineligible. I do find Scopely Explore’s inability to explain reasoning (which I understand in general) particularly annoying for something like this Funeral Home.

I sent a message to the funeral home about both Wayspots. This is getting more and more ridiculous every day. Criteria matters unless it doesn’t.

I hope they decide they don’t want wayspots on their site.

Removal reports are reviewed as per the removal criteria. This Wayspot doesn’t meet our removal criteria.
