Gym threshold recalculation needed - S2 L14 cell gym removed in the past

Hello Wayfarer Community and Community Managers,

I am requesting a manual recalculation for an S2 Level 14 cell.

Coordinates: 49.631891, 9.998156

The Problem:

In this specific cell, we currently have exactly 6 active, valid, and fully synchronized PokéStops. According to the standard cell rules, this should trigger a second gym in Pokémon GO. However, no new gym has appeared.

Background:

A long time ago, a former gym in this cell was removed because the physical object no longer existed in the real world. Since that removal, the cell’s automatic gym-threshold calculation seems to be stuck or blocked, preventing the 6th active stop from upgrading.

Could a community manager please look into this and trigger a manual recalculation for this cell so that the system updates correctly?

Staff do not acknowledge S2 cell algorithms - those are community observation. Nevertheless, this L14 S2 cell seems to be working as expected. I chose settings to only show the pokestops and gyms to make this clearer, and this seems to still be one short.

Possibly you were counting the Pokestop I pinned as part of this cell, but this highlight shows that it is in the one to the right.

After a nomination is approved by reviewers, there is an additional automated review that determines whether the nomination is an appropriate fit for each particular Scopely Explore game. Each game has its own set of criteria for this step, so some nominations may be accepted into one game but not another. Moreover, it’s this process that determines which typr of in-game location a Wayspot becomes if eligible.

This process is completely automated and free of any manual control.
