My wayspot nomination recently got denied, with the reasons shown in the screenshots. I want to submit an appeal where:

a) I want to include a video of the surrounding area to refute the claim that the submission may be unsafe or inaccessible, showing me walking from a public road to the wayspot.

b) I noticed that the reflection of the mirror does indeed faintly show my body, so I want to resubmit the photo to one that doesn’t have the mirror.

However, in the appeal, there is only a text field, and I don’t see a space to include a video for point a. I also don’t see an option to edit the photo of the wayspot for point b.

Does anyone know how I can include a video in the appeal as supporting evidence and/or change the wayspot photo?

You can’t replace the photo so a new submission is needed.

The first rejection reason is a common mistake, common enough that I don’t get why Wayfarer hasn’t changed the misleading wording.. Anyway you can use this link to explain objects in shared spaces can be eligible:

> [@Private Residences, Farmland & K-12](https://community.wayfarer.scopely.com/t/private-residences-farmland-k-12/12462):
>
> Single-family private residential properties (SFPRP), farms, and K-12 (schools or facilities primarily focused for persons under 18 years of age) are ineligible. This includes the outer facing facade, fence of these locations, and property boundaries. Objects in or upon apartment blocks, gated communities, or their shared spaces may be eligible assuming they otherwise meet criteria and are intended to be accessed by a community, even if not everyone. Communal spaces have the potential to be eli…

You may also want to take more supporting photos to confirm its location. Can you for example provide a sequence of photos connecting “exercise studio” to a sign mentioning “The Retreat”?

You don’t need to worry about proving this is not single-family private residential property for an appeal, as Scopely Explore know what they mean by Private Property even if this is not displayed well for reviewers.

If you want to include a video (unsure its necessary! but if you do), you can upload your video to a sharing site like google drive, YouTube or streamable, ensure the permissions are set so that anyone with the link can see it, and add the link to your appeal.

What about the photo? Would I still have to resubmit the wayspot with a new photo as doomzdays said?

Only if **you** need a different photo. doomzdays was pointing out that you cannot change the photo after submission.

Edit: A new photo would be best, as explained below.

In your opinion, do you think niantic would agree with the reviewers that the photo makes the wayspot ineligible because “The photo submitted contains faces or body parts”?

_(Niantic is now Scopely Explore. Takes longer to type!)_

I have just zoomed in on the photo and can see why it was rejected for body parts. There is a chance the appeal will fail for this reason.

Your reflection is visible in the door. Not enough to identify you, but enough to see you are there. This is enough for reviewers to reject, but it is borderline.

Given this, you would be best to take another photo. Either use a different feature or take a photo at an angle, not straight on. Glass surfaces (and other shiny things) should never be photographed straight-on for wayspot photos, as the chances of a noticeable reflection are too high.
