How to update a Wayspot that has moved into a new building

Had a wonderful 2 week vacation in Poland, several successful Wayspot nominations, with more on the way, but now back home I discovered an issue on the map in one of the towns I visited. Am requesting some help from the experts here in the forum. The POI “Gminna Biblioteka Publiczna w Rajczy” at 49.504758, 19.103625 has moved into a new building next to it. The move is documented: Zmiana lokalizacji Biblioteki Publicznej w Rajczy | Urząd Gminy Rajcza
I would like to suggest a new location, but don’t want to get the Wayspot removed altogether. Especially since the old photo will not match the new location. Should I just submit a new location request as would normally be done for inaccurate locations? But I’m also not sure how to get the new coordinates. What is the best way to correct this?

Using google maps in aerial view, you can usually get it to give you the location of a marker.

With the move documented, this should be easy to get accepted. If it is more than 10m, which this is, you cannot use Pokemon Go, so have to go via help chat. Since the POI still exists, it would be extremely unlikely that the wayspot would be removed (and if that did happen, post here!).

Somewhere around 49.50528, 19.10381 looks good, but the main entrance is the best choice. To get this, I right-clicked on google maps using a desktop browser. It’s harder on android, as google maps shows the coordinates for half a second then picks a random street address to replace it.

Thanks for this help! That location looks good.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that since while it has the same function, it is a fully different physical location

Hmmm, ok. Could someone from Scopely give a final word on that? I’m happy to submit the new location via help and next time I’m in the area would upload a new photo.

Oh - so if the old library has been replaced by a new library in a different building, the wayspot should be removed and a new one submitted?

I view the wayspot as being for the library, not the building. Hmm.

I think help chat would be the best course of action because they can then fit it into the process they would seem fit here

Hey @indeterminacy ,

I have made the necessary adjustments to this Wayspot, and you should see the changes reflected soon.

Best,

Such quick action! Thank you @ScopelyExpAaron

Happy Friday

First we had to deal with AI rejecting our submissions, then we had to deal with AI-generated nominations being submitted, now we have to deal with AI-generated Scopely staff? What’s the world coming to??

I wish AI could do that

For now, this image is the best I could manage. Have a great day!

Postscript: Was a good run in Poland. Lots of successes. Only 3 rejected and 1 still in voting…
