I disagree with the outcome of one of my appeals

I recently appealed this banner. It is part of a series of banners that depict historical photographs of important people/events/companies from Eindhoven’s history. All of these banners are located in the shared entryways of apartment complexes.

Because of that, these banners are often rejected by ignorant reviewers who don’t understand the private residential property rules, so I often have to rely on appeals to get these through, which usually works.

But this one was rejected by the appeal reviewers for reasons that in my opinion are entirely wrong.

It is “a common and temporary banner with no significance”.

It is not common. It is the only one of its kind, as each of these banners has a unique number and photograph.

It is not temporary. It can be seen on StreetView on photos dating from 2023.

And I have encountered and submitted banners from the same project/initiative as far back as 2020.

So I would not say these are temporary in the slightest.

And since they depict subjects that played an important part in the city’s growth and development, I would definitely not describe them as “having no significance”.

I hope that this appeal decision can be overturned.

Oh I remember these from way back :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

They are cool.

Much obliged.
