I got a one day warning and I don't know why

Okay so I got a one day warning that would be fine but first I do not know why they didn’t send me and email (I looked at my Gmail and outlook) Its kind of unfair I have never spoofed or anything last thing I did on wayfarer was report a obvious duplicate pokestop and they said

so it means that they have seen it and its probably not about that I dont know what do I dont want another warning please help me.

Hello and welcome,

This isn’t a warning email. This is noting that you submitted a report of some sorts, and action was taken on a Wayspot, whether that was to have the Wayspot removed, have invalid photos removed, edit the location if it’s over 10m, etc. This would be the reply you’d get back for reporting a duplicate Wayspot, and it isn’t saying you’ve received a warning; those emails are completely different.

If you didn’t receive any emails, as you should receive 3 separate emails, staff may be able to send a DM with more info. If you haven’t check your junk mail folders or an old email address that used to be associated with your Wayfarer account, you may want to see if the emails are in there.

Again, did you check your junk/spam mail folders to see if the emails ended up in there? Did you ever use any other email address in the past for Wayfarer that the emails could have been sent to?

If you can’t find the emails, you’ll have to wait and see if staff DM you here with more info. Only staff would know what the issue is, and they can only discuss it in a DM, as they don’t discuss warnings/bans publicly.

U might got the email somewhere else. If wayfarer are linked to different email. Try finding it while waiting staff to reply

Did you make a post on the wayfarer subreddit recently? Someone with a username very similar to yours posted about a rejected nomination of a florist, and one of the comments identified that the picture used for that submission was third party. If that was your nomination, then this is very likely why you got the 1 day ban, as stealing photos from the internet is considered abuse.

So you found the email? The email will be reviewed by human staff and they will reply to you.. Staff might remove the strike depending on how you appeal. If you found guilty, there is nothing you can do but repent and becareful in future

Redemption period

We have warning and suspension.

Warning just give you notification everytime you login. You can still play like usual. Its like last warning before suspension

But suspension will ban you from entering the game and wayfarer

In the other note, you can use any language that you are comfortable with , we can use translator

Yeah, I meant warning, my apologies. But at least you now know what caused the warning, and that in future you should only use photos you’ve taken yourself and that aren’t uploaded anywhere else online.

Also, some friendly advice. We can see your post history on Reddit. I would strongly suggest not doing things that could result in harsher actions being taken against your account.

There is an abuse ladder policy, so the punishment is based on the degree of the offense. However, each case is looked at individually, so a harsher offense could have been applied if it was seen to be warranted. Even if you did submit more than 1 nomination using 3rd party photos, staff may only note one instance in the emails as an example. So, even though you may have submitted more than one nomination with a 3rd party photo, they chose one as the example of why you are receiving the warning.

Like the warning notes, it’s best to review the Wayspot Criteria to make sure to are following them. The Photo Guidelines also state not to use 3rd party photos and other reasons for rejection, as well as what makes for a good Wayspot photo.
