I got a warning for a nomination which I don't understand

Hello,
I’ve got today an email with warning for a nomination of a waypoint (Niantic Wayfarer).

It was already rejected what was strange for me on the first place, but ok I can retry with better quality photos etc.
But it also mentioned that there is something offensive (?). The location is popular waling spot in the neighborhood with safe access etc.

But what is even more strange I got today an email with warning for this nomination saying:

Content: Graffiti Red Cat
Policy Violated: Generic very low severity offense

Can you please explain why? I don’t understand it really so I’m not sure how to avoid something like it in the future.
Is there something I’ve missed? Some similarity to IDK gang signs somewhere on the word or something?
Also I’m not comfortable with unjustified warning anyway
Also there is nowhere any option to appeal to that directly in the email

Welcome to the forum.

Although graffiti is commonly submitted and accepted in some parts of the world, vandalism is clarified to be ineligible. Have a look at this: Unique Art

This seems like educational email.

Warning email will look like this. Do you have pop up warning everytime you login?

If you got such email, there will be link inside to appeal privately to scopely

The “Abuse” rejection narrative can be flagged for a nomination for any of the following reasons (roughly in order of how often they occur):

* The photo is not yours (e.g., taken from streetview, found on another website)
* The wayspot location pin is misplaced
* The wayspot is deliberately misrepresented (e..g., on school property but pretending it isn’t)
* The nomination is believed to be fake
* Another nomination was flagged and all of yours have been flagged as a consequence
* The text itself is abusive
* The nomination is controversial and likely to be offensive (e.g., a mural of terrorists)
* (there may be others)

Here, I can imagine the graffiti being misrepresented or being clearly ineligible might cause the abuse flag.

Don’t worry about being offensive, that’s just the phrasing that comes up when any sort of abuse is flagged.
