Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): The PokéStop was already live in the game and was removed without an email.
Additional Information (if any):
I am requesting a review and restoration of this recently removed Wayspot. This permanent directional sign is an official marker that promotes outdoor exploration, walking, and exercise within the local community, which perfectly fits Niantic’s core eligibility criteria. As proven by the attached real-world photo, the sign remains fully intact and physically exists at the exact coordinates provided. It is situated in a public area with safe pedestrian access and does not require anyone to step onto private residential property or interfere with emergency services. The sign is a valuable navigational landmark for local walkers and players. The removal appears to have been an error, and I kindly ask the support team to review the evidence and restore this stop to the map. Thank you!
So neither this point of interest or its location is eligible.
We are not staff, btw, but forum members usually try to help the poster in this category to make their best case for restoration. But there is no case to be made here.
Staff user names here will begin with “ScopelyExp”
Please see the clarification posted:
“This includes the outer facing facade, fence of these locations, and property boundaries.”
That sign which is ineligible anyways is on the boundary of a private residence. I can’t help with getting this reinstated. I can point out how nearby Wayspots being live doesn’t necessarily mean they met criteria. You can read more details about criteria in the clarifications section Criteria Clarification Collection and more broadly at this link: Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center
Btw in all the countries i went to they ALL have a street name or a directional sign as a pokestop so whats your point. Niantic also didnt remove theirs which is completely unfair and your only saying negatives.
There are experimental wayspots being tested in some places with pokestops being placed at street corners. Maybe you saw these?
My point is to help you understand what is eligible and what is not. If you come to the forum for help, we try to give you guidelines that will help you be successful and not get into trouble.
I am passionate about Wayfarer and try to help people as much as I can. I know it can be frustrating at times, but it is so much fun to add eligible nominations to the database. I had a lot of help when I was starting out, so I try to pay it forward. Lots of us here love to help.
If they were placed deliberately incorrectly (and it seems pretty clear that that was the case), then the result is solely thanks to yourself, not the staff whose job it is to maintain the accuracy of the map.
I understand that this is a frustrating lesson to learn, but hopefully you do learn it, and come back in 30 days with a more positive mindset. We will be happy to help you find new things to submit at that time.
