Is it normal for a proposal to take so long to be accepted or rejected?

Hello everyone, I’ve had a proposal up for voting for about 7 days and considering I used an upgrade

, it seems strange to me that it’s taking so long to get a response, whether accepted or rejected. Is it normal for it to take this long?

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, this is totally normal. What an upgrade does is send it to a wider review pool, which should help it get decided faster. Also, reviewing to earn those upgrades can help get other nominations in your review pool decided, which should help clear out the queue for reviewers to get to yours.

If you don’t have a lot of reviewers even in the wider review pool, it can still take a long time. And if they are split on the way they review it, that can make it take longer, too.

I believe I have seen people report that upgraded nominations still not decided after 4 months are taken into in house review and decided there. Trying to find where I saw that posted.

Edit: found it

Everything still depends on how many reviewer in your area and what you submit. Make sure to present your nomination with best evidence so people wont skip your nomination.

I recently had a nomination go straight to internal and get decided by them (approved) in something like 2-3 days. It was however the first stop in an empty grid. I’ve only ever done a first stop once before and that was months ago.

Oh, yes. Old age is not the only reason they will pull something into internal review. They do some as a check. I have seen those be accepted, rejected, or put back into queue.
