It’s Fenwick not Fenwich 😅

Hi everyone

I live near Fenwick Park and noticed the existing wayspot has a mistake in the name. The old sign used to say Fenwich Park (with an extra “h”), and the original photo still shows that. However, Google Maps and the current signage both clearly show the correct spelling as Fenwick Park.

I’ve already submitted a new photo, which was accepted, but it hasn’t yet replaced the old image shown on the wayspot. I also have a title edit pending to correct the spelling.

Is there anything else I should do to help this correction go through, or will the title change and updated photo eventually fix it? I’m just a bit worried my only local stop might get removed if this isn’t handled properly.

Maybe use the Help option to request the old photo removal as it is Out of Date?

which help option do you mean? in the pogo app or on my name edit suggestion

I would try the help chat on the Wayfarer site:

You can give them evidence there of the correct name, such as a link to a news article.

Good catch on the spelling change!

I’d follow the Help Chat advice already given. But I did want to let you know that I moved this to the General section as this is not a bug.

Oops sorry about the error with my post location. Large forum overwhelming :sweat_smile:

I can see the name change is moving forward now . It’s in voting and I hope the community will match the name of the park to the map not the incorrect photo.

If anyone does come across my nomination on Fenwick park name change please know it seemed to have been a spelling error on the original park sign.

let’s fix this so I can send my postcard with pride :laughing:
