Additional Information (if any): Here’s my situation: I submitted a public location accessible to the entire population, which is the City Council of my municipality, where the city’s legislative body operates, and where people can or cannot interact with the city’s representatives. The community marked the location as a duplicate. However, if you open the game and check the PokéStops in the area, there is no PokéStop corresponding to the City Council, so it cannot be considered a duplicate location. I will attach screenshots from the game and images of the location to verify this information. It cannot be a duplicate if the PokéStop does not exist where it should be.
In red is the Location (lat/lon) I filled in above and where the PokeStop should be. This gym next door is another public spot in the city, so it’s not the same one. Just to make it even clearer.
City council and the location where the pokestop should be. Pictured above.
Next door is the gymnasium, which is the city’s other public point, which is the city’s cultural station. :
