Login not working for contributions, but forum is ok

I’m able to login to wayfarer forum using my google account, but when trying to login to see contributions on wayfarer, authentication looks like it works, but then i get a message saying the account doesnt exist.

Welcome.Have you check if you are using different email thats linked in pogo?. Is it possible to share some screenshot(you can cover the email or personal detail)

When i request recovery for the email address, this is what I see. The bertnotyy account is the one im using. (The other is my sons, who has a kids account and I’m his assigned adult).

I am also having trouble logging into pokemon go itself with this email, although my email is working there for linking to wayfarer for pokestop submission and activity tracking.

Have you check if the email link to pogo here is the same email?

Please be patient while waiting for staff to come and respond because its weekend

Pogo wont let me link to this email, even though when i attempt recovery, it shows my bertnotyy account is associated with it. Also, when i submitted a pokestop from that account, the wayferer notifications go to the correct email address.

Pogo was linked to that email in the past and it worked fine, bit for some reason it isn’t working now.

You can log in to Wayfarer using the same login method and credentials that you use to access Pokémon GO. If you need any help with recovering your account, please reach out to Pokémon GO support, and they will assist you.

Hi,

The login method I use for Pokemon GO is my trainer account, I don’t see that method when I login to wayfarer.

My google account won’t work as a login method for Pogo, although I use it regularly as the activity tracking method, and it is clearly associated to Wayfarer as I’ve submitted pokestops under this email account, and had responses indicating they were accepted / rejected.

Any help you could give to properly link my email to wayfarer so I can actually see the status of pokestops my pokemon submissions would be appreciated.

That login method is not available for Wayfarer. You can only log in to Wayfarer using Google, Facebook, or Apple login methods.

Since this account is not connected to any of these login methods, you will first need to connect your account to any of these login methods and use that to access Wayfarer.

It might have been in the past, but now it’s not.

That’s because there is another account connected to this email through the Google login method.

For the record, I’ve managed to get around the issue with google authentication not working too well, by using another authentication method.

I can now see my pokestop contribution requests, and also access this community forum. The login for contributions just would not work before, but now it does.

While its annoying and confusing why authentication via google only partly works for my account, and that I’ve had to share details with another login provider, I am at least up and working now.

Still, its a little strange that depending on which login method I use to access this forum, I see different account names - but I can access the same posts in both cases.
