This statue was marked as a duplicate by Niantic, and was confirmed as a duplicate after I appealed. Is there some database where this wayspot exists that I’m missing? Because there is no duplicate wayspot when I check the IITC mobile app/Ingress.

Ingress has split from Wayfarer, due to the Scopely sale. Right now, there isn’t an accurate map to check, but it’s been something that has been asked for. The only option is checking the map during nomination to see if there is a current Wayspot there.
Another possible answer could be someone nominated it before you and it got accepted before your nomination went into voting. Being this is at a n amusement park that’s visited by many every day, that’s a good possibility.
