Hello everyone, I’ve been trying to submit a mosque here in Germany for the past weeks but it’s been routinely denied for improper reasons (such as SFPRP). It has lead me to resubmit the wayspot multiple times, as I am fully convinced that a mosque is a good wayspot candidate.
My last resubmission was in voting for over 2 weeks which was unusual as the other submissions usually took significantly shorter to be rejected.
What happened now is weird though, the submission got rejected by “our team” for the reasons of education facility & abuse.
I do not understand how an in-house reviewer would come to the conclusion that this is an education facility, as that address only hosts the mosque. The abuse rejection reason scares me to resubmit or appeal this and combined with the education facility rejection, I am afraid that there’s a misunderstanding here.
So far I did not get a warning mail yet (the rejection was 5h ago) but I want to prevent infractions on my account which are based on misunderstandings.
I would appreciate if a staff member could get in touch via DMs and explain why my spot was denied by the team so I know if this was a mistake on my part or the team.

Can I recommend that you follow the standard procedure of appealing the rejection outcome?
Take time to consider what to include in that and if there is any reason that it might have considered a school or SFPRP. You can then address that directly in the appeal.
In the meantime since you have requested a DM please wait patiently.

In the meantime I don’t see the need for any other posts. 
Worth bearing in mind that the majority of mosques are also education facilities. This doesn’t stop them being eligible as educating kids isn’t their primary function, but they are frequently marked with the education symbol on Google maps which can cause confusion.
The other issue with mosques that I’ve encountered is that they often do not use signage (a sad sign of the political landscape, I suspect), and can look like normal houses. In that case, you’ll need additional evidence – many of them have websites which can make a huge difference – and probably a fair amount of patience.
In Germany usually the get rejected no matter what effort you put in, it’s a thing here that mosques and most middle Eastern related things never pass the community vote
Let’s not put it as a blanket statement. It depends on the location and is not always true.
True, I can only speak for how they are used here, and sure, there are always exceptions.
To staff reading this, I am aware that you are currently busy but judging from how I haven’t gotten a response yet, I personally don’t expect a response. A few community members have recommended me to resubmit as they seem to agree with me that my submission was not abusive. If a staff member has an issue with this submission and wants to prevent a resubmission, please share the reasoning with me via DM.
I personally think that I am acting in good faith in resubmitting this as I see no good reason why my submission was abusive and I reached out to multiple ambassadors to get advice on this.
