I was just referring about a stop that had been voted on wrong apparently it was a blurry and a low quality photo I believe none of that is correct. I would like some help with appealing this decision as the blurry photo had stopped me from using my appeal which I find not right this location is a TAFE main entrance sign
“Taken from too far away”….
In my opinion, if you’re nominating a sign, the sign should be taking up a lot more of the picture than this. Your phone camera probably has a zoom function, and you’re not using it enough.
As a compare… I may have zoomed in a little too much on this one, but it is quite large. (The supplementals were zoomed out like yours to show the surrounding accessibility). This was accepted last October.
If you disagree with rejection, you have 2 appeals, each with 15days cooldown. But personally i think its better if you retake the foto
It’s really not a very good photo.
Just my opinion but ignoring the photo I would have Rejected this.
The Sign itself does not meet criteria therefor it is being used as an anchor for the Campus which already has a wayspot.
I know not everyone agrees with this, just wanted to make you aware that even a new photo may not instantly change this to an Accept.
Good Luck
Agree, there are probably eligible wayspots at this facility, but I don’t think a school itself would qualify. In fact, I would even doubt if the location itself is ineligible (in The Netherlands the typical age would be 16-20)
I’m familiar with this TAFE campus. There are heaps of potential Wayspots that would get through better than this one.
Artworks, dedication plaques, picnic table areas for starters.
I don’t know what’s already a Wayspot right now though so check in the map first of course.
Try to get some better photos that are framed well, with supporting photos showing what’s around it to help reviewers feel confident it’s real and in that spot.
TAFE has some <18 there but is aimed for adults as well.
I’d be advocating for Wayspots in these campuses as allowable.
My idea was get both sign in for one photo as they are not n the same S2 cell but all good I have since submitted other photos but thank for helping and if I’m right any tafe are treated like adult colleges
This has been a debatable topic which was never really answered.
IMO: A location aimed at 16 to 20 year olds has a good percentage under 18, enough that I would Reject.
You could easily rewrite your comment as “TAFE has some >18 there but is aimed for younger people as well.”.
I could, but that would be incorrect.
Any course at TAFE aimed at <18 is equally aimed at 18+.
In their first year of study in NSW Australia there is a higher percentage of students <18 enrolled at universities than at TAFE colleges.
Should we be talking about removing all the Waypoints from Australian universities?
Edit: removed personal details
My interpretation of a k-12 is any where a kid goes to learn, anywhere they are required to wear a uniform, or place that hold place to learn schooling years required by law
any facility that is primarily focused for persons under 18 years of age are ineligible. this includes day care centers, scout camps, and any place where children are left without their parent or legal guardian remaining with them.
My comments was in regards to how people interpret “Primarily Focused”.
Some will read this as which is the Majority. If 51% are >18 then it is OK.
IMO: If a place is for 16 to 20 year olds then there are courses that will be primarily for <18 and personally I would reject.
As stated, this is debatable and it has been left for each reviewer to decide for themselves. I am only giving my answer and do not expect everyone to agree.
Switching this around, we used to have nightclubs in town that would open 1 afternoon or early evening for <18s “Pop and Crisp” events. Doesn’t make this not Primarily Focused on >18s.
It’s just an opinion and I am happy to hear others but do remember there is no Wrong or Right.
Wouldn’t most pubs primarily cater to adults, even if it’s also perfectly fine and normal for kids to be there? If a place is meant for 16-20 year olds, the majority age group is 18,19,20, which is fine.
Just to clarify, I mentioned the 16-20 because that is the age group in The Netherlands for these types of schools, I really have no clue about the age group for TAFE.
I do think the word “primarily” is key, so I would probably only reject if a strong majority would be below 18
Even though Scopely Explore clarify using “primarily”, it is still up to the reviewer to decide whether a borderline case counts as a secondary/high school or not.
yes they do
bold is mine
Oops - I was looking for the clarification that I thought existed and didn’t see it because it was wrapped up with SFPRP.
[Earlier reply edited]
I can say from experience that Scopely at least doesn’t remove wayspots at these types of institutions
