Had a picture of name plate on wall. with the description below below. The main para by me is sarcasm. However I know I am not on the ball often. Soooooooo…
I rejected this as it had zero evidence of community - zero evidence of historic nature… And just, well, generic…
I mean I have lived in several areas for a long time. I can name my local baristas, first name basis with the local bar peeps, my newsagent gives me a wave every day. The garbos know me as do the street sweeps. So on that basis I will stick a name plate on my exterior facing wall and claim local community importance. (I volunteer too excluding all the school support activities for the kids and I pick up other peoples litter, donate to the poor…) — I am sure you all have your own examples…
Or have I missed something here… Was I right to reject? What reasons could I use?
