I tried to submit the Clubhouse and pool together but it was rejected. Now I am just submitting the pool alone to try. For some reason the photos won’t load here.
They are generally accepted as a great place to socialize, can you screenshot those nomination to here?
But together as one nomination could have triggered some rejections for accuracy or similar.
Good news, I just received a message about the pool being approved.
It might be helpful to clarify in the Wayfarer rejection criteria, what is meant by “private property”… while those on this forum know that this has been narrowly defined to apply only to single family residential, it doesn’t actually say that in Wayfarer.
And I just got a nomination in a common area of an apartment complex denied as “private property”.
I made a similar suggestion in at least one of my appeals. Except it was for the Acceptance Criteria page (#3 of Acceptance Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center).
Because clearly reviewers aren’t reading the Information icons during the review process if enough voted to have an acceptable POI rejected incorrectly.
In the U.S., the lack of pokestops in residential areas is something Wayfarer can slightly improve, but it’s extremely hard to fully fix.
Part of the issue comes from how Wayfarer defines POIs, but the bigger problem is that American urban planning just doesn’t create many things that qualify as wayspots in the first place.
In certain areas. Single family residential and multi family residential are two different things as far as pokestop rules go. The majority of the stops I’ve submitted are in residential areas (I live in the outer suburbs of San Diego), and the majority of those (I’m talking probably 15-18 out of my total of 48 approved), are swimming pools in apartment complexes or mobile home parks, and another 4 or 5 are other common area items in the same complexes. (Tennis court, play structure, dog park).
The one I mentioned above as mis-rejected (currently under appeal) is in an apartment complex courtyard and was rejected as “private property”. There are 1 and 3 pokestops approved in the next two apartment complexes on the same street. (Half of which were there when I started playing.)
Update: I did have a community welcome and information sign accepted a couple weeks ago as the World Cup was starting.
