As a long time user of the Wayfarer through the Pokemon GO, upploading numerous of nominations, I find the new upgrade/update pretty disappointing. Although there is much clear tab ‘‘Pokestop Contribution’’ now, the old ‘‘Uploads’’ tab still exists and it’s a little confusing, but what bothers me the most is that it opens up on browser.
Uploading photos only works from the phone’s files. There is no ‘‘take a picture icon’’ and drag and drop isn’t very useful on the phone.
The uploading order is a little all over the place. You don’t want to upload the (1) photo, followed by (2) surrounding area, just to later find out at the (3) Pin Location, that the POI already exists, but it’s not ingame as a pokestop.
The new orbs displaying the wayspots on the map are very minimalistic, without any proper border, which makes it easy to loose on the ‘Satelite’ Google Map, which I bet many people use, to properly pinpoint their submission’s location.
Lastly since that update, the number of times submission crashed mid uploading without saving any draft is really bothering. I’ve entered all of the information, pined location, set the tittle, uploaded photos, just to end up clicking upload and get the ‘‘unexpected error pop-up’’.
For the record, I was able to succesfully upload 2/6 times.

It may be possible to tell from your screenshots, but not for me. What browser are you using?
It get that reload screen all most every nomation will only let me upload one photo and then I have to save it and then go back into it and upload the next photo otherwise I just get the reloading page every single time. With mine I have to save it free times and go into a three different times just to submit one submission I do not like it at all they need to fix it. I’ve tried Chrome I’ve tried downloading the actual Wayfarer app nothing seems to fix it
When visiting the official Niantic Wayfarer Website, the browser gives an option to "Add to Home Screen."This installs a Progressive Web App (PWA). It creates an icon on your home screen, clears away the browser URL bars, and launches in full-screen mode so it looks and acts exactly like a native app
You can even have a community one so you don’t have to go into the website and sign in and then have to wait for it to load up again for the community at automatically puts you straight into the community page and you’re already signed in. I don’t think it works like an actual app it’s just a shortcut that avoids the tab links and stuff
That still doesn’t excuse getting rid of a feature that people found useful. There was zero reason to discontinue ingame submissions. They coexisted with web ones just fine.
Totally agree that it isn’t going to be better for everyone.
I don’t buy expensive phones but I changed about 6 months ago.
On the last phone the In App was a nightmare. As soon as I opened either the Camera or Gallery it put PoGo in to the background, then decided it needed more Ram so Closed Pogo. Once I had finished with the Camera / Gallery it would reload PoGo from the beginning.
Would have to Restart the Phone before any nominations and even then it would only work about 1 in 3.
Would like to hear from anybody that had this problem In App and how it copes with the new Web Submit.
