Hello! i have read many posts that nominations of pokestops accepted but not showing. Also read about the cells and c7 (if i am right). but how a trainer, for pokemon go, knows if a pokestop will be show? I read the mechanism for cells, where nowhere in pokemon go exist any article but still the big question is: how a trainer that has a confirmation approval from wayfarer communitywill get notified that actually the pokestop will be show someday.
Welcome to the forum @Noname1976a,
Congratulations on getting your wayspot accepted to the database. From there Pokemon Go can decide if it matches their rules for inclusion. You have already read about that. Unfortunately because this is a Pokemon Go decision, you will not be notified if they decide to use it or not.
I know I’m always excited to see if a wayspot will show up in the games I play. I just go out and see when I’m walking around.
Hope this answers your question ![]()
This is not fair, first we never know about rules of inclusion, second if we start not participate to the game cause we are disappointed there is no game. Am i right? Pokemon Go company should check this matter, either about to reply to those accepted nominations or gave the database map.
I do agree it would be good if nominators knew they were nominating wayspots and not game specific items (poke stops, gyms, mushrooms, flowers, etc..) and how each game chooses to include them.
But Niantic/Scopely so far has wanted to prioritize the feeling that you are still in your game of choice and not add more details for nominators. I understand that you are frustrated and I am sorry.
I hope you will still choose to nominate things in the future. As a possible consolation your accepted wayspot may become a power spot.
Niantic has never posted the rules for inclusion to my knowledge. They have no obligation to tell us how any of this works. However, they are kindly allowing us to explain what we, the community, have observed to happen in order to help explorers be less frustrated. I am thrilled they allow us to explain about the S2 cells. I feel certain they do not disclose them because of the potential for abuse.
I would love to have a database map, too.
Edited to add that I have felt from the beginning that the prompt that tells trainers they are sumitting a “New Pokestop” is misleading and should be changed.
Agree in most of the part you say. You cover me in many questions i have. By still they have some obligation from the part “New Pokestop”, as i am doing part of their job finding “new” pokestop. And do not involved the part that they said that they have better maps than Google “collecting from their games”, meaning us to walk like crazy to catch pokemon - and of course the other games of Company that i haven’t played. Meaning that we do their jobs without saying anything to us. Because i read about cell, hope that i understand correctly, but i am still confused how that really works while i see 5 pokestops and one Gym, from 2022 that i found that spot, to be in around in a park max of 60 square meters.
And yes “New” could be a misleading.
The emails do mention that that not all accepted nominations will be used in all / any of the games.
The Cell system does mean that you can get 4 stops / gyms extremely close when each are just over the cell borders. I have screen shot a random piece of map showing the S2 Cells (green lines), if successful nominations appeared at each of the arrows you can see how close they would be..
Thanks all of you for trying to answer to my thoughts/questions.
Hope someday company seen and create the pokestop.
Keep catching!!!
