It just feels like haters trying to farm review for upgrade and not even looking at what they are reviewing…

The problem with this assumption is that the majority of voters need to agree with each other. Posts on this forum do show that Restaurants have different success rates in different locations around the world.

I recently posted this on another post so I will not type it out again…

I always found it strange how much trouble people have getting Restaurants accepted whether by Review or by Appeal in certain countries.

For me (UK) it seems that (and this is the criteria I use) if it isn’t a major chain, it allows “Dine In” and reviews are not so low that you are likely to get food poisoning then the majority are accepted by Review and the others by Appeal.

This is also the case for other food locations, I have nominated Cafes (small locations, usually specialise in Cooked Breakfasts and Lunches).

I never push that it is unique, just that it’s a great place to socialise, includes “Dine In” and good reviews and that is usually enough.
