Paranoid about Approved:Rejected agreement rate

This is a bit of weird topic to have but I thought having significant more approved than rejected agreement is the usual, but when I interact with the community, I see people with 2 Accept : 1 Reject or even smaller (1:1), while myself having a whooping 6:1 agreement rate.

Am i too easy with the submission or is every other location is really hard to get approved?

Its wrong assumption to generalize this. All statistic is highly depended on your area selection for review. If many people in your area submit low quality nomination, there will be many rejection agreement and vice versa. It has nothing to do with so called easy with submission. Please review nomination based on guideline. One person vote wont affect the agreement

6 to 1 does sound kind of high, but as said there are many factors that may not be apparent just based on your stats, maybe you’re skipping things you are unsure of or should be rejected. Its never a bad idea to take a look over at criteria and clarifications and ask for help or 2nd opinions on doubts you may have.

I wish I had a 67.9% agreement rate! After the last global challenge, mine fell to aorund 59%, and it’s been hard to get it back up. I have almost 20,000 total reviews done, and there are some here that have WAY MORE than that and have a Great rating (I’m also at Great).

Keep in mind that edits don’t could towards your Processed & Agreements, just nominations. So, you do seem to be agreeing on a good number of nominations in your review area. I’ve done many edit reviews, especially during some of the review challenges, so this has dropped my agreement rate.

I also live in an area where it can take awhile for nominations and edits to be decided upon, so it can take me a little longer to get my agreement rate up. I do a lot of edits myself, and it can take months for those to get processed, as it seems many in my review area skip those. Maybe your area has more nominations than edits (I get more edits from my bonus location right now, but not surprised by that).

So, it’s possible that those you have spoken with may have done more edits than nominations, hence why they may have a 1:1 ratio. What really matters is if you and the others are following the criteria and guidelines when reviewing, and what your rating is, which is Great for you right now, so you’re doing good.

What would count as like low submission, in here, I see chruch, temple, or just some exercise machine, wall art. I dont know if they are quality enough to be honest

I rarely skip stuff to be honest, most of the time I check the image to see if there is body or license plate, or if these are in single home private property

Churches and temples are usually seen as great places to explore, as well as possibly great places to be social with others. Unique art is also usually seen as great places to explore. I’m thinking you’re seeing outdoor exercise equipment, and these are usually great place to get some exercise.

All nominations must meet being a great place to be social, a great place to exercise, and/or a great place to explore. This info is listed in the Wayspot Criteria, so if you want to read up on that to better know the critera, it’s highly recommended. Another good place to check out is the Criteria Clarification Collection, as it covers some of the most common POIs. Since this is reviewing we’re talking about, the How to Review Wayspots section is also helpful. Lastly, if you have any questions about how to review, feel free to ask in the Review Support thread, as we’re here to help!

I don’t think it’s helpful to compare your review stats to others.
We all have different review flows as what we are given to review depends on play location, bonus location, home location, country ( for upgraded/priority) and photo reviews have a different area.
So it is easy to see how different our review flows can be on a global basis.
What you get in your review flow will heavily influence what sort of stats you get. Added to that skipping etc and you get a whole new level of complexity.
What I do think is important is that you pause to reflect on a regular basis on the decisions you are making.
What sort of judgements are you having to make?
Am I becoming complacent as I see a particular type or location of review? Do I need to remind myself of a particular criteria?
Am I using the responses to questions correctly - there are 3 :+1:I Don’t Know :-1:
Am I voting for agreements or to criteria?
Being at Great is a good sign. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:The information we have is to do this is limited .
I sometimes take screenshots of ones I have reviewed noting separately what I voted and look at th em few days later see if I would do the same

I wonder since you mentioned you’ve been building up PoIs in your area from a very low start point, it could be that within your review area, others have been doing the same? So maybe they have been generally submitting great locations, and lots of acceptances is an accurate way to review? Your great rating certainly supports that theory and suggests youre doing a great job, so I wouldn’t worry too much :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

A lot of us on the Wayfarer Disscussion Discord have been reviewing a long time. Way before the ML model was filtering out so many bad nominations before we ever see them.

Honestly, you are probably right yeah. I have seen a lot more “no wayspot nearby” and the first one is a chruch, temple or community center.

I think i spend too much thinking about this nothing burger. Thanks everyone for the help :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Yes if that is typical for you then that sounds fine.
I think it is great you posted here as it will help others

I think we all have small things that we overthink (I sure do). I don’t see the accept/reject ratio as something to be concerned about, but asking questions about it and seeing how others feel about it, well, I hope it helped.

Oh, and I have more rejects than accepts, but I’ve been reviewing since before ML was put in place.
