Hello,

I would like to follow up on my previous report regarding the Wayspot/Gym named “Çamlık.”

Name: Çamlık
Coordinates: 40.94047, 29.21542

This Wayspot does not correspond to any physical object, sign, landmark, or identifiable point of interest at this location. “Çamlık” is only a generic name, with no physical real-world representation that could make it eligible under the Wayspot criteria.

There is a real and identifiable point of interest nearby called “Çamlık Şehitler Camii.” However, this is a separate location and should not be confused with the “Çamlık” Gym in question.

Could you please review the status of my previous report and reconsider this Wayspot for removal?

Imports like this are problematic, because all this has is a one-word title and co-ordinates. It has no picture and no description, so it is extremely hard to know what this is supposed to represent.

In turn, this makes it hard to say the POI does not exist!

Google happily translated Çamlık as Turkish for “pine grove”, but translated “Çamlık Şehitler Camii.” as “Çamlık Martyrs’ Mosque", so I’m not entirely convinced by “pine grove”.

Thanks for the appeal @BVSnowbros , this Wayspot doesn’t meet our requirements for removal and as a result, we stand by our decision to not retire it.
