This sculpture was removed last night. I believe because it was thought to be on a private property. This sculpture is located on a small trail between the two house that leads to the merricks trail. It is heavily utilised by locals and while it was a wayspot was used a lot by passerbys including me.
There is no indication of a trail and both entrances from the road are gates to private property.
If there is an official trail here, you need to provide official evidence. Putting a red line around the trail on the map will not be sufficient.
Also - even if the trail is where you have marked, the location you have is a little west of that, so wouldn’t be on the trail.
That little bit west, makes that the pin is (with some margin) placed at a single family house property.
Thanks for the appeal, @Crustyz7! We have taken another look, but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.
