Why I am asking for clarification:

My appeal was rejected because Niantic described the nomination as a “standard milk collection point which are widespread.” I believe this is a misunderstanding of what was nominated.

This is not an active or ordinary milk collection point. It is a permanent commemorative installation at the historic location of the village’s former milk collection point.

Historically, farmers from Zella brought their milk churns to this location, where the milk was collected by the dairy. The installation was created by the village as part of Zella’s 800th anniversary and has deliberately remained in place as a permanent reminder of the village’s agricultural history.

Agriculture has shaped Zella and its families for generations. The installation therefore commemorates a specific part of the village’s local history and cultural heritage rather than representing ordinary agricultural infrastructure.

The installation is permanent, located on public land and safely accessible. The old milk churns are secured in place, and there is also a bench at the installation where people can stop and spend time.

I would therefore appreciate clarification as to why this commemorative installation was classified as a “standard milk collection point” and considered neither unique nor historically or culturally significant

Traditional village milk collection points of this kind are no longer part of modern dairy farming and have largely disappeared. This makes the preserved installation particularly relevant as a reminder of a form of everyday rural life that no longer exists in this form today.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

This looks like an interesting nomination, so I’m surprised that the appeal didn’t work.

Usually you can’t appeal an appeal at this forum, so the best way forward, would be to try again. You are allowed to resubmit a potential wayspot a few times if you feel the wayspot has the potential to be accepted.

Scopely staff do read all the posts, and sometimes so maybe they will have a second look, but if they don’t, I suggest to submit again
