The object shown in this Wayspot is not present at its current location.
I went to the Wayspot coordinates and took current photos of the area. The stone memorial and cannon shown in the Wayspot photos are not present at these coordinates.
It would be better to suggest a location edit rather than a removal, as the wayspot does exist, it is just at the incorrect location.

Unrelated but I see you’ve added a few stops to this area. 34.071494, -117.669929 has a small playground/community courtyard of which the entrance sits conveniently on the edge of an empty cell, in case you didn’t notice
Thanks for finding that. I checked Street View and the image is from August 2025, so I can’t confirm whether the memorial is still there today. When I visited the current Wayspot location in person, I could not find the memorial there.
I’d still like to continue with my request to remove the current Wayspot rather than move it to another location. If the memorial is still there, it can be submitted later through the normal nomination process at its correct location.
I would consider that abuse, as it looks like you are trying to remove a gym. The correct approach is to move the location. As you can see, the correct location is also in an empty cell (the red pin)
You’re right, I did add a photo earlier this year. The claim I made in this appeal is that the object shown in this Wayspot is not present at its current location. That is what I confirmed when I visited the existing coordinates. I’ll leave it to the Wayfarer team to review the evidence and determine the appropriate action.
Naturally that is up to you. My advice however is to withdraw this appeal, as it really looks like manipulating the gameboard, and this could result in a ban on your game account.
You know the real location, you know it exists, but instead of trying to move it to the correct location, you are trying to get it removed. But again, that’s up to you, but I would never do that.
