Severe Spoofer Problem in our Village – Looking for Help/Reporting Options

Hello,

We have a massive problem with a spoofer in our village. Whenever someone places a Pokémon in a gym, they get kicked out just 2 minutes later—no matter which gym in the village it is.

Yesterday, my brother and I decided to test it. We placed a Pokémon in a gym in the center of the village and were kicked out exactly 2 minutes later. At first, we thought she might live nearby and could reach the gym from her house. To test this theory, we walked about 500 meters out into a field where another gym is located. From there, you have a clear view of the entire surroundings, and there was absolutely nobody around playing Pokémon GO.

We both placed a Pokémon in the gym, and less than 2 minutes later, we were kicked out again—with nobody in sight. To make it even more obvious: right after kicking us out, she placed another Pokémon in a gym behind the sports field, which is about 800 meters away. It is physically impossible to travel between those two gyms that fast, especially since you cannot drive a car to the gym behind the sports field.

I took screenshots of the timers as proof. We didn’t see anyone in the field or anywhere else. She has been doing this for weeks now, ruining the fun for everyone, and I don’t know what her goal is. I already reported her in-game, but I am not sure if it helps since it is a high-level account that has apparently been doing this for a long time.

Is there any other place where I can officially report this and upload my screenshots? I have her trainer name, the exact timestamps, and the screenshots ready. Thanks for your help!

This sort of thing is really not nice to experience. You have my empathy.

However you need to keep using the in game reporting, and be persistent. And keep record keeping.

It is something that wayfarer can’t help with.

The problem is that a spoofer that is careful does have ways to avoid detection, we are waiting on them to make a mistake that flags what they are up to.

I don’t condone it at all but I could understand why someone might spoof in to one of the huge “Pokemon hot spots” or to places to get Regional’s but why do it in a village.
