Hi - are Tattoo shops an acceptable business to nominate as a pokestop? I have seen a few pokestops in my area, in Pokemon Go, that are for Tattoo shops, but the attached was not approved. It says it was rejected by the automated process. Does that mean AI or something saw the word Tattoo in the name and automatically rejected it? If they are a valid business to nominate, should I include certain information so that it is not automatically rejected? Thank you

There is some debate over this, but in my experience, tattoo shops are adult locations. And even if they don’t fall into that category, they could still fall under the generic business rejection. I assume that is why the automated process rejected it.
You are allowed to appeal an automated process rejection if you truly feel this meets criteria as a great place to exercise, explore, or be social, and doesn’t fall under any of the rejection criteria. We get two appeals, each on a 15 day counter before we can use it again.
I can’t help you with either resubmit or appeal suggestions, since I would not submit a tattoo shop. But someone else may have a different view on these.

I have not seen a Tattoo shop be accepted in itself due to the Adult Location policy.
A lot of them will have a Mural (either on the side wall or the window shutters) showing what art style they specialise in. The Mural’s will often be accepted unless it’s just a fancy way to draw “Bob’s Tattoo Shop”.
