Just wondering how long it takes these days for an upgrade to become effective? It’s been several years since I have used one, and since I had a bunch just sitting there collecting dust, I decided to use one. It’s now been over 72 hours since the actual upgrade was applied, and it still isn’t in voting yet. Which is disappointing since in my area, I can often usually get something submitted and reviewed in several days without having to use an upgrade.
Years of community observation have pointed to each nomination having a grace period of 1-7 days where it just won’t go into voting, even with an upgrade. I usually wait until a nomination is at least 4-5 days old before I use one. In my opinion, they are best used when you are tired of waiting for voting to finish.
